Many fiction writers are slightly nuts, and I suspect I’m no exception. My imagination has always been almost disturbingly vivid. I managed to convince all my kindergarten friends that I was the grandson of an African shamaness–and I made up so many stories about the unknown continent and about Grandma’s jungle tribe that I nearly believed it as well.
I’ve been writing fiction ever since I learned my letters. My first attempt was a short story about a talking dog. After a brief flirtation with sci-fi and adventure, I discovered the world of dark fiction, and there was no turning back.
I’ve lived in six countries and on three different continents. Although ruinous to my bank account, the seminomadic lifestyle has been hugely inspirational, and many of my experiences have spilled into my stories. My wife and I have recently settled in Southwestern Spain.
